Our mission is to empower manufacturers with real-time insights, allowing them to optimize operations, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency. We are on a path of rapid growth, aiming to achieve 100% year-over-year growth over the next three years, and we're looking for a driven and visionary Director of Sales to help us get there.

The role:

The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading our sales execution, building and scaling a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in leading sales efforts, particularly in a SaaS environment. You will be a key leader within our go-to-market team, helping to shape the trajectory of our business and ensuring we meet our ambitious growth targets.

This is a remote-friendly role with the option to work from our Chicago or San Francisco offices. We support flexible work while valuing the collaboration and speed that come from working together in person.

What You'll Do:

  • Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a sales team focused on acquiring and expanding customer relationships in the manufacturing sector.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive new customer acquisition, expansion within existing accounts, and overall revenue growth.

  • Process Optimization: Establish and continuously improve sales processes, leveraging data to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the sales cycle.

  • Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, track key performance metrics, and report on sales activity and results to the executive team.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure alignment and create a seamless customer journey.

  • Customer Engagement: Establish strong relationships with key customers and prospects, understanding their needs and ensuring that Amper’s value proposition aligns with their business goals.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Sales Leader: You have 7-10 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within a SaaS company.

  • Manufacturing Expertise: Experience selling to the manufacturing industry or similar sectors is highly preferred.

  • Strategic Vision: You think strategically about sales and growth, and are comfortable setting ambitious goals and aligning a team to achieve them.

  • Data-Driven: You leverage data to drive decisions, track progress, and adapt strategies. You understand the importance of key sales metrics and are comfortable with CRM tools like Salesforce.

  • Builder Mentality: You thrive in environments where you can build—whether it’s building a team, building processes, or building customer relationships.

  • Collaborative: You understand the value of cross-functional collaboration and can work effectively with marketing, product, and customer success teams.

  • Passionate Communicator: You have excellent communication skills, are persuasive, and are comfortable presenting to both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or technology sectors

  • Experience with the manufacturing sector or selling into industrial environments is a bi plus.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a sales leadership role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets

  • Proven ability to build and scale a sales team, including experience in hiring, training, and developing talent.

  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales enablement tools.

Why Join Amper?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company transforming the manufacturing industry.

  • Collaborate with a dynamic, innovative team that values creativity and impact.

  • Enjoy competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

The annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is $160,000, with incentive potential of $160,000 at plan. Please note that pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amper provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), unlimited paid time off, and early-stage stock option equity.
