Setpoint is looking for a Director, Security and IT to join our team!
This is an opportunity to build and own the security operations across the organization from the ground up. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, serving as our security subject matter expert. This role reports directly to the Head of Technology.

- A technical expert - you are comfortable with both strategic initiatives and hands-on implementation
- Define, build, and implement comprehensive security strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead security operations including access control, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Design and implement security architecture and data access controls in AWS infrastructure
- Serve as security subject matter expert for customer inquiries and security reviews
- Drive security compliance initiatives, including SOC2, GDPR, and CCPA requirements
- Manage user device lifecycle and security best practices
- Oversee multi-office IT infrastructure, including network management and SaaS applications
- 7+ years of security engineering experience in a fast-paced startup or fintech company
- Strong AWS security expertise and infrastructure experience
- Deep understanding of security principles, threat landscape, and security technologies
- Experience implementing and maintaining security frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Proficiency in hands-on engineering with experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar
- Engineering mindset with hands-on technical implementation experience
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 dependent on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications.
