Summary:

In this role, you will lead strategy development and execution for strategic sourcing partnerships and programs while managing a team responsible for delivering custom contracting solutions. You will drive initiatives that reduce spend, improve operational efficiency, maximize delivered value, and support client satisfaction. You will collaborate cross-functionally, guide sourcing strategy, and ensure compliant, data-driven outcomes that strengthen client and organizational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team responsible for sourcing strategy development and execution.

  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including development and execution of contract plans.

  • Develop sourcing strategies that reduce client spend and improve operational efficiency.

  • Drive the development and delivery of measurable sourcing value for clients.

  • Implement programs that foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with operating guidelines, policies, procedures, and contracting standards.

  • Evaluate business unit performance through data gathering, analysis, and interpretation of metrics.

  • Lead client orientation, onboarding, and training related to sourcing programs.

  • Collaborate with legal, analytics, sales/client executives, information and data services, and operations teams.

  • Maintain key supplier relationships and lead complex supplier negotiations to support sourcing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience leading strategic sourcing, contracting, or supply chain initiatives within healthcare environments.

  • Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.

  • Strong financial, analytical, and business acumen, including interpretation of complex financial results.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive value and revenue growth.

  • Experience managing supplier relationships and complex negotiations.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder influence skills.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
