Own and build Hybron’s recruiting and talent function, including sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, headcount planning, compensation structures, recruiting processes, and hiring-manager partnership. The role also supports HR, operations, employer branding, and culture initiatives. As the company scales, the Director of Talent will build and lead a recruiting team and contribute to workforce planning, organization design, and the broader People roadmap.
Company Overview
Hybron is an advanced manufacturing company that is building lightweight composites at mass production scale. At Hybron, we have pioneered a new composites manufacturing process that enables complex, high performance composite parts to be produced 10-100 times faster than traditional manufacturing, at a fraction of the cost.
We recently closed an oversubscribed $25M seed round, are backed by the Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator, and are rapidly growing to commercialize and mass produce composite products at a scale never seen before. Our current focus is applying our proprietary process to composite artillery shells, solid rocket motor nozzles, gas turbine engine components, and airframes.
If you want to join a rapidly growing company working on cutting edge composites technology while building capabilities for the warfighter and reshoring U.S. manufacturing, then we want to speak with you.
About the Role
This is a full-time, in-person/hybrid role at our Hawthorne facility. As you will be working at an early-stage deep tech startup, this role will span many different tasks. Along with these high expectations comes the opportunity to significantly influence the development, strategy, and trajectory of a fast-growing startup company. Your work will tangibly impact our company and the composites industry, and you will be able to make rapid professional gains in an environment that encourages growth and innovation.
The Hybron team is growing quickly. We’ve scaled from 2 to over 20 in 18 months, and we’re continuing to grow across the entire business to support more business development, engineering, production, and operations. As Director of Talent, you will own Hybron’s recruiting pillar and build our headcount strategy as we grow. You’ll start by sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers with candidates to help us build a world-class team. You’ll also support general operations, such as managing external recruiters, HR, and marketing. As Hybron rapidly scales, you’ll grow your own recruiting team and function to build a one-of-a-kind enterprise. This role requires a high-trust, self-starting generalist. You are a great fit if you can operate with autonomy in high-energy, fast-growing companies, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are willing to wear multiple hats. If you care about building the highest-quality team, we want you.
