The Role

Launch your drafting career with a team that values innovation and collaboration! As a Drafter I, you'll use CADD software to create and maintain detailed drawings that support equipment fabrication and project execution. Partnering with engineers and shop personnel, you'll help ensure designs are accurate, efficient, and ready for production while building the technical skills needed to grow your career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Make minor changes to drawings, including models and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Model basic parts and assist in preparing drawings and files for the production team.
  • Assist in maintaining and archiving model and drawing files.
  • Maintain Excel worksheets and related documentation for part tracking and project organization.
  • Update title blocks, revision histories, and borders on drawing packages.
  • Work closely with Senior Drafters to incorporate drawing changes and updates.
  • Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company drafting standards.
  • Assist with preparing fabrication, assembly, and shop drawings for manufacturing operations.
  • Support engineering and project teams by incorporating markups, redlines, and design revisions into drawing packages.
  • Organize and maintain electronic drawing files, project documentation, and revision records.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve drawing-related questions and discrepancies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and associated documentation.
  • Verify dimensions, specifications, and drawing details prior to release for fabrication.
  • Follow established drafting procedures, engineering standards, and document control processes.
  • Participate in design reviews and team meetings to gain knowledge of products, equipment, and drafting best practices.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and proficiency with CADD software, company systems, and industry standards.
  • Perform other drafting and administrative support duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree or equivalent in CAD.
  • 2 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor. AutoCAD and CADWorx a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of basic piping practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PDF creation.
