JOB SUMMARY 

Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and goods between company facilities and local sites. This role supports internal logistics and operational continuity by ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining material flow, and assisting with warehouse and facilities operations. The position requires a combination of commercial driving, material handling, and coordination with cross-functional teams.Employees in this role may be required to obtain and maintain a CDL Class B license based on business needs. Support for certification may be provided by the company. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Operate CDL Class B vehicles (if licensed) or company vehicles for local transport of materials, equipment, and goods between company sites, suppliers, and distributors 
  • Perform interdepartmental deliveries to support operations, engineering, and facilities teams ● Load, secure, transport, and unload materials in compliance with DOT and company safety standards 
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all delivery documentation, logs, and required paperwork ● Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in accordance with established safety and operational guidelines 
  • Maintain responsibility for the safety of self, team members, and the public while operating vehicles and performing job duties 
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, safe, and maintained in proper working condition
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and priorities with internal stakeholders to support operational efficiency 
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory movement, and asset tracking ● Utilize company-issued purchasing card (P-card) and/or fuel card in accordance with company policies 
  • Demonstrate financial accountability by monitoring spending, preventing misuse, and reporting discrepancies or unauthorized transactions 
  • Support warehouse operations including staging, organization, and inventory control as needed 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required 
  • CDL Class B license preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain within a defined timeframe ● Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening (as applicable) 
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) 
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, load securement, and equipment operation ● Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders 
  • Basic familiarity with inventory or logistics systems preferred 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in delivery driving, logistics, warehouse, or facilities operations Bilingual in Spanish preferred 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly 
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting 
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles and warehouse equipment for extended periods ● Vision to safely operate vehicles and equipment 

● Hearing and speech to communicate effectively in operational environments
