Make a Difference This Summer: Teach with DYS!

Location: Westborough/Worcester, MA

Dates: July 13th – August 13th (5-Week Program)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6 hours per day

Positions Available:  6

The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking passionate, equity-minded teachers to join our Summer School program. We serve adolescents (ages 14-20) within the Department of Youth Services (DYS) residential system.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle or method for attending trainings or other meetings as required at locations throughout the state

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Massachusetts secondary level teacher licensure (8-12; 5-12) in any content area. 
  • Successful teaching experience with adolescents placed at-risk
Schedule & Hours
  • Minimum workday: 6 hours per day, exact start and end times depend on program.
  • Optional: You may elect an additional two hours per week for planning/prep (on-site or off-site).
Compensation
  • Licensed Teachers: $44.10 per hour
  • Non-Licensed Summer Only Staff:: $37.00 per hour
    (Teaching License is preferred, but not required for all positions.)
