We are looking for a driven, growth-oriented, Spanish Bilingual telecom professional to join our team as Edge Strategy Manager! This individual will be utilizing their vast network of connections along with their industry knowledge and experience to establish and nurture relationships with Latin America based vendors. This role will combine procurement and strategic planning to help scale our global edge networks and further develop our business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leading and maintaining business relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISP), IP Transit vendors and Data Centre Operators within the Latin America region.
  • Proactively identify appropriate sourcing opportunities for data center, network services and partnerships to meet network expansion requirements, to reduce cost, and leverage external suppliers and partners as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Network Leadership Team to define, develop and deliver on an integrated and aligned strategy to support short/long term goals of the company.
  • Manage networks services procurement and ecosystem investment which will include ongoing management of network operating costs related commitments.
  • Create and implement effective procurement strategy for all major networking equipment and accessory by working with internal business units on potential future projects.
  • Create and present weekly and monthly P&L management report.
  • Develop and expand vendor channels for different networking equipment and accessory, including due diligence and cost negotiation.
  • Identify problems in operations process and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Travel to visit vendors on an as needed basis,
  • Other tasks as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Background in procurement, network interconnection strategy, network planning or internet peering in telecom, data center, or cloud industry
  • Degree graduate in business administration or related field
  • 8+ years of related working experience in similar roles
  • Possess excellent computer skills
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and responsible
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish is a must, Portuguese is a plus
