Ellucian Banner Functional Contractor (Multiple Specialties)

Location: Remote (U.S.based)
Engagement Type: Contract  (as needed)
Schedule:Project‑based (varies by engagement)

Overview

We are building a bench of experienced Ellucian Banner contractors to support current and future initiatives across multiple functional areas. Contractors will be engaged on an as‑needed basis to support implementations, upgrades, integrations, reporting, staff augmentation, and ongoing operational needs within higher education environments.

This opportunity is ideal for independent consultants who enjoy flexible, project‑based work and bringing deep Banner expertise to diverse institutional challenges.

Areas of Expertise We’re Seeking

Candidates may have experience in one or more of the following Ellucian Banner areas:

Functional Modules
  • Student (Admissions, Registration, Records)
  • Financial Aid
  • Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable)
  • Human Resources & Payroll
  • Student Accounts / Accounts Receivable
  • DegreeWorks
  • Banner Self‑Service (Student, Faculty, Advisor, Finance, HR)
  • Banner SaaS / Cloud experience
Responsibilities (Engagement‑Dependent)
  • Provide functional or technical expertise for Ellucian Banner projects
  • Support Banner implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimizations
  • Troubleshoot system issues and recommend scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with functional users, IT teams, and external vendors
  • Develop documentation and support knowledge transfer
  • Participate in project meetings and planning sessions as required
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise with Ellucian Banner (functional and/or technical)
  • 5 or more years of Higher education ERP experience 
  • Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Availability for short‑term or long‑term contract engagements
  • Prior consulting or independent contractor experience
  • Experience supporting Banner SaaS environments (nice to have)
  • Training, change management, or user adoption experience

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
