What You’ll Do:

CoreWeave is seeking a Manager, Utility & Energy to help build and execute our U.S. utility engagement strategy. This role will focus on day-to-day utility coordination, power access execution, and relationship development, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

The role will serve as one of CoreWeave’s primary points of contact with electric utilities, supporting power procurement, interconnection efforts, and early engagement in new markets.

About the role:

In this role, you will support and manage ongoing relationships with U.S.- and sometimes European - electric utilities, including IOUs, cooperatives, and municipal utilities, while acting as a consistent point of contact for utility planning, large-load, and interconnection teams. In collaboration with the data center operations team, you will track timelines, requirements, and risks associated with power delivery for CoreWeave sites, support and participate in the negotiation of Electric Service Agreements (ESAs), coordinate internal review of ESA terms, and track and help standardize ESA structures and lessons learned across markets. You will also assist with evaluation and negotiation of power service options, tariffs, and commercial arrangements, support internal analysis of power costs, delivery schedules, and infrastructure requirements, and help document and standardize approaches to power procurement across markets. Partnering with data center development, engineering, legal, sustainability, and policy teams, you will help assess power feasibility for new sites, support early utility outreach in new markets, build internal processes and tracking tools, and prepare materials and updates for leadership on power risks and progress. Success in this role means utility engagements are well-coordinated, predictable, and transparent, power-related risks are identified early and clearly communicated internally, CoreWeave builds a reputation with utilities as a prepared and professional large-load customer, and power access supports, rather than slows, CoreWeave’s U.S. expansion.

Who You Are:
  • 6–10+ years of experience in utilities, energy infrastructure, grid operations, or large-scale power customers.
  • Working knowledge of utility service, transmission and distribution systems, and interconnection processes.
  • Experience interacting with utilities in a professional or commercial capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple utility engagements simultaneously.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting data centers, hyperscalers, or other energy-intensive infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with utility tariffs, rate structures, and regulatory environments in the U.S.
  • Experience working across multiple utility territories or market types.
  • Ability to translate technical utility concepts for internal stakeholders.

Wondering if you’re a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.

  • You love to build strong utility relationships, coordinate complex power access efforts, and help enable infrastructure growth through organized execution.
  • You’re curious about utility constraints, interconnection processes, market expansion, and how power strategy can support CoreWeave’s U.S. growth.
  • You’re an expert in managing utility engagements, identifying power-related risks early, and translating technical and commercial requirements into clear internal action.
