Energy Regulations and Standards Senior Principal Engineer

What you’ll achieveIn this position as Energy Regulations and Standards Senior Principal Engineer, you will monitor and influence global product energy regulations & standards across the Dell Technologies product portfolio. You will be responsible for coordinating the documentation and communication regulatory requirements to product teams, various cross-functional teams and other stakeholders. You will engage external regulatory agencies and standards bodies to ensure Dell's point of view is reflected into the regulatory process, including working with industry trade associations and directly with agencies as well. You will be expected to be able to communicate clearly through oral and written communications including the ability to present clear and concise information to team, internal customers, external customers and executives.
You will:
- Drive Dell influence objectives into the product energy regulations and standards including alignment with key internal stakeholders such as CTO, Engineering, Product Management and Global Operations
- Conduct periodic reviews with leadership to ensure regulatory influence objectives are being met
- Utilize relevant project management tools, systems, and applications. Ensure all project documentation is kept up to date and communicated to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis
- Maintain positive working relationships with peers, managers, and executives
- Regularly review the business factors associated with your product energy programs including competitive environment, product features, positioning in the portfolio & in the market, financials, supply/demand environment, quality, schedule, and program risks
- 12+ years of experience in engineering
- Strong leadership skills, organizing, and planning skills and demonstrate attentiveness to quality and productivity
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Analytical, problem solving, and priority setting skill; initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
- Facilitation skills to lead meetings and achieve consensus with multi-stakeholder groups inside and outside the company; Ability to build effective teams, lead extended teams, and meet deadlines
Desirable Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Experience in energy and standards regulations
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $147,050 to $190,300.
