What we offer:Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a value stream map for each manufacturing process inside the facility.
Utilize lean manufacturing principals to reduce inventory and develop a single piece flow production system.
Lead the T.E.A.M. systems 5S implementation and assist in training employees on the 5S principals.
Work with program management to ensure facility readiness for all new program launches.
Perform time studies and monitor on-going line balancing activities.
Develop requirements for and obtain capital funding for required plant equipment.
Implement Poke yoka systems to prevent errors in the manufacturing process.
Continually improve the manufacturing process efficiencies to reduce production costs.
Review component and assembly designs to ensure all products have been designed for assembly.
Manage purchase order documentation consistent with IATF-16949 requirements. Create efficient paperwork systems that minimize manual paperwork.
Must be trained on the GCARD system.
Responsible for updating the GCARD system for corrective actions.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant experience in related field.
Experience with process development and line design, preferably in the automotive industry.
A minimum of two years’ experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment is required.
Experience with CAD.
Experience with Machine Development and Kick Off.
