**Role Overview**  

As an Engagement Manager, you will lead high-impact projects and serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them navigate complex challenges and achieve measurable success. You will manage all aspects of client engagements, from diagnosing issues to delivering tailored solutions that go beyond expectations. You’ll also play a key role in fostering trusted relationships and driving new opportunities for growth.

**Key Responsibilities**  

  • Exceptional Client Delivery: Manage and execute client projects from initiation to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables that exceed client expectations. Oversee day-to-day project operations to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Mindset: Translate high-level client goals into actionable work plans for the project team. Continuously refine strategies based on project progress and evolving client needs, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Use data-driven analysis to diagnose client challenges, develop innovative solutions, and guide teams through the execution of practical recommendations.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain trust-based relationships with client stakeholders. Act as the primary day-to-day contact, managing expectations and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Clearly present complex information and project updates to clients, ensuring that messaging is tailored to the audience. Create compelling narratives that drive client decision-making.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Lead project teams, ensuring open communication and collaboration across all team members. Provide support to colleagues to ensure collective success and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
  • Business Growth: Foster trust-based relationships with client contacts and proactively identify opportunities to add value. Support business development initiatives by recognizing client needs and recommending Scimitar’s services to address them.
  • Proactivity & Self-Motivation: Demonstrate initiative in managing project challenges, taking ownership of tasks, and driving the project forward to successful completion.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Adapt to evolving project dynamics and changing client needs, ensuring that solutions remain effective and relevant. Maintain high performance in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
  • Humility: Embrace feedback as a tool for growth, actively seeking ways to improve project delivery and team collaboration. Offer constructive feedback to colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

**Required Skills and Competencies**  

  • Proven experience leading complex projects and managing client relationships, particularly in the life sciences sector (Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, etc.).
  • Proficient in leveraging AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to improve project delivery, from analysis to communication. Able to guide teams in effective prompt engineering and ensure LLMs are integrated into workflows that drive client value.
  • Ability to think strategically and connect high-level goals with practical, impactful solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using data-driven analysis to develop solutions that address root causes.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on fostering open communication and building long-term relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

**Qualifications**  

  • 5+ years of consulting or business management experience (7+ years in lieu of advanced degree), with at least 3+ years in the life sciences sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Expertise in Program Management, Organizational Strategy, Analytics, Digital Transformation, or related areas.

**Additional Information**

  • Travel up to 80%. Actual travel will vary by client and project.
  • Ability to work across US and International time zones.
  • Candidates must possess US work authorization and fluency in English.
