Lead and mentor an engineering team building a data-rich B2B client portal. Architect modular systems using DDD, own Next.js/TypeScript frontend and Golang backend integration, manage AWS cloud operations, and balance rapid feature delivery with long-term system integrity.
About This Role:
As the Engineering Manager for the Client Portal team, you will own the primary window through which our B2B partners interact with TrueML’s ecosystem. This isn’t just about building a dashboard; it’s about architecting a sophisticated, data-rich command center that empowers our clients to make high-stakes financial decisions. You will lead a high-performing team of engineers to deliver a seamless, scalable experience, balancing rapid feature innovation with the long-term integrity of our cloud-native architecture.
What You'll Do:
- Empower and Mentor: Lead a talented squad of engineers, acting as a coach and advocate. You’ll be responsible for fostering a culture of technical excellence, career growth, and "extreme ownership."
- Architect with Intent: Guide the team in applying Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles. You’ll ensure our portal remains modular and maintainable, effectively defining bounded contexts within our complex financial domains.
- Bridge the Gap: Partner closely with Product and Design leaders to turn ambitious business visions into concrete, scalable technical strategies.
- Own the Stack: Oversee the development of a cutting-end frontend using Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript, ensuring seamless, type-safe integration with our Golang backend services.
- Manage Cloud Operations: Oversee the health and scaling of our portal services within AWS, ensuring our clients always have high-availability access to their data.
- Drive Velocity: Master the art of the "fast-paced" environment—delivering high-impact features today without accumulating technical debt that slows us down tomorrow.
Who You Are:
- An Experienced Leader: You bring 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years specifically in a management or leadership role where you’ve successfully grown and mentored talent.
- A Frontend Authority: You have an expert-level command of Next.js and TypeScript. You know how to build complex, data-heavy interfaces that are as performant as they are beautiful.
- Backend Fluent: While your focus may be the portal, you are highly comfortable "under the hood" with Golang. You understand how to design the robust APIs that power high-concurrency B2B tools.
- A DDD Practitioner: You believe in the power of Domain Driven Design to solve complex business logic and have practical experience implementing these patterns in production environments.
- A Systems Thinker: You are a Cloud-Native advocate with hands-on experience deploying and monitoring services in AWS.
- Agile and Adaptable: You thrive in high-growth settings. You can pivot strategies when business needs change, ensuring your team remains aligned with the "North Star" goals of the company.
