At Calendly, you’ll have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the quality and development of a product impacting millions.

On a typical day, you will be:

  • Working on tooling and services aimed at empowering product engineering teams to ship features quickly and confidently
  • Coaching, mentoring, and onboarding new engineering team members
  • Ensuring the career development, satisfaction, and productivity of the engineers on your team
  • Identifying future technical needs and creating plans to meet them
  • Providing feedback and guidance to help us continuously grow and scale

What do we need from you?

  • 2+ years experience managing a team of Software Engineers
  • 5+ years of overall development experience (you will be specifically managing a team that owns tooling and services using Golang and Ruby / Rails)
  • Deep proficiency with distributed / data-oriented application development and SaaS
  • Experience planning and leading development efforts on large projects
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to succinctly explain deep technical concepts
  • Experience leading Agile / Scrum ceremonies
  • Previous experience working within a dynamic engineering organization
    • Bonus for experience working on a Platform-oriented team where internal teams are your customers and shared tooling and services are the focus
  • Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
