Cribl does differently.

What does that mean? It means we are a serious company that doesn’t take itself too seriously; and we’re looking for people who love to get stuff done, and laugh a bit along the way. We’re growing rapidly - looking for collaborative, curious, and motivated team members who are passionate about putting customers first. As a remote-first company we believe in empowering our employees to do their best work, wherever they are.

As the data engine for IT and Security many of the biggest names in the most demanding industries trust Cribl to solve their most pressing data needs. Ready to do the best work of your career? Join the herd and unlock your opportunity.

Why You'll Love This Role

Cribl is looking for a Senior Manager & Experienced UX Product Designer to join our Product & Engineering organization. This is a hybrid player-coach role — equal parts hands-on product design and people management.

In the near term, you will design complex, high-impact product experiences while directly managing a small group of designers. You will lead by example, setting quality standards through your own work while coaching others to do the same.

Over time, as the team scales, this role will evolve into a more traditional UX management position focused on strategic direction, organizational design, operational excellence, and cross-functional leadership. This is an opportunity to shape both product experience and the design culture of a rapidly evolving, AI-forward platform built for technical, sophisticated users.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

Hands-On Product Design: Own end-to-end design for complex product initiatives, simplifying highly technical workflows into intuitive, scalable experiences while partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering from discovery through release.

Design Systems & Quality: Contribute to and evolve our design system and reusable UX patterns, ensuring accessibility, usability, and consistency across product surfaces.

Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage a small team of UX designers, conduct weekly 1:1s and performance reviews, provide structured design critique and hands-on coaching, and support hiring and onboarding as the team grows.

Operational Excellence: Manage designer workload, capacity planning, and prioritization across initiatives while maintaining strong UX Jira hygiene, ticket quality, status tracking, and cross-functional alignment within engineering workflows.

Strategic Partnership: Strengthen collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership, integrate UX early in roadmap definition and discovery, champion research rigor, and drive workflow simplification to reduce unnecessary product complexity.

Build for Scale: Support documentation, governance, and reusable patterns, help create frameworks engineering teams can confidently build from, and increase design leverage through systems, standards, and clarity to support long-term platform scalability.

We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones - you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours.

If You've Got It - We Want It
  • 8+ years of experience in UX or Product Design.
  • Experience designing complex B2B or developer-facing products.
  • 1–3 years of formal people management experience with direct reports or team leadership.
  • Experience managing team workload and collaborating within Jira-driven engineering environments.
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and shape direction.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering in fast-moving environments.
  • Strong interaction design and systems thinking.
  • Advanced information architecture across complex product ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of research tools (Dovetail, Fullstory) and practices (research plan generation, execution and analysis).
  • Comfort with data-heavy, state-driven interfaces and workflow optimization.
  • Experience contributing to or scaling component-based design systems.
  • Ability to create reusable interaction patterns, not just one-off screens.
  • Clear articulation of tradeoffs and rationale.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility and usability standards.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma.
  • Player-coach mindset with structured, pragmatic decision-making skills.
  • Strong cross-functional influence and communication abilities.
  • Ability to raise quality without slowing momentum.

Salary Range ($190,000 - $225,000)

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus
