About Flagright:

Flagright is an AI operating system for financial crime compliance used globally by Fortune 500 companies, large banks, fintechs, and fast growing startups. Flagright enables real-time risk detection, automated investigations, and intelligent decisioning, helping compliance teams operate at their full potential in the fight against financial crime.

We operate as a lean, high-performance team with high individual ownership and direct access to leadership.

Role overview:

Our Sales team drives customer growth globally. They own their craft end-to-end, and help more financial institutions realize the value of Flagright.

We are hiring a Senior Account Executive in the US to own revenue across North America.

This is a player/coach role with full ownership across all deal sizes and customer profiles. You will close deals yourself, develop deep product and industry expertise, and set the execution standard for the broader sales team. AEs at Flagright are expected to fully own their craft, managing deals from discovery through close, and operate with minimal hand-holding.

You will be required to travel, and attend conferences/events across North America.

People who thrive at Flagright:

  • Have been knocked down before and gotten back up

  • Are resourceful—they figure things out with whatever tools are available

  • Have strong opinions and can defend them

  • Learn fast because they're hungry

  • Want to work with no-BS people building something important

People who struggle here:

  • Need extensive hand-holding

  • View high expectations as “unreasonable”

  • Actually prioritize work-life balance

  • Can’t handle ambiguity or rejection

  • Prefer consistent routine over fast-changing priorities

Key responsibilities:

Revenue Ownership

  • Own the full sales cycle end-to-end across all deal sizes

  • Close deals with fintechs, banks, and financial institutions ranging from smaller, fast-moving buyers to complex, multi-stakeholder organizations

  • Maintain a disciplined, conversion-focused pipeline

  • Drive expansions, upsells, and long-term account growth

Pipeline & Market Development

  • Build pipeline through a mix of inbound, outbound, and proactive market activity

  • Travel across North America to represent Flagright at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings

  • Build and leverage relationships within the regional fintech, banking, and compliance ecosystem

Product & Industry Mastery

  • Develop deep expertise in Flagright’s platform and core FCC use cases

  • Understand how AML/FCC teams operate in practice across different institution sizes

  • Run high-credibility product demos independently

  • Clearly position Flagright against incumbents and modern competitors

Player / Coach Responsibilities

  • Set the standard for deal quality, discovery depth, and demo execution

  • Coach and elevate junior AEs and BDRs through deal reviews and direct feedback

  • Contribute to improving sales messaging, objection handling, and internal playbooks

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams during evaluations and POCs

  • Provide structured market and customer feedback to influence product direction

Who we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with direct closing responsibility

  • Startup or scale-up experience required

  • Enterprise sales experience preferred

  • Relevant industry knowledge in fintech, payments, banking, compliance, risk, or financial infrastructure, gained directly or through closely related roles

  • Comfortable owning deals end-to-end across varying deal sizes and sales cycles

  • Strong written and verbal communication with a clear, structured style

  • Right to work in the USA (visa sponsorship not available)

  • Willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time

What we offer:

  • One number, real ownership, no artificial segmentation

  • Direct exposure to leadership and influence on sales and product direction

  • Product with clear, real-world differentiation

  • High-bar environment focused on execution, learning, and continuous improvement

  • Get equity from day 1 at a Y Combinator startup

  • Work alongside a highly competent, top-tier team, including professionals from Y Combinator, ex AWS, and Palantir

  • Enjoy a low-bureaucracy environment, minimal meetings, and an asynchronous communications culture

Location: US (Remote). This role is not open to candidates in CA.
