The Role

You'll drive net new business and footprint expansion within State, Local, and Education (SLED) agencies, helping public servants modernize how they handle complex litigation, public records, and investigative workflows. In this high-impact role, you will own the end-to-end sales cycle, deploying value-based selling to transform how government entities discover truth in massive volumes of data.

This is a full-time exempt position that is remote in Illinois or Michigan, with the option to work out of our Oakland, CA, Washington D.C., or New York, NY office. Office-based employees are eligible for a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home Tu/Fr.

What you'll do

  • Build, manage, and execute territory and account plans to establish a healthy pipeline and achieve consistent quota targets.
  • Lead deep discovery and value-based sales presentations with government attorneys, FOIA officers, Law enforcement attorneys and legal IT leadership.
  • Manage complex, multi-department sales cycles from qualification and demo through contract negotiation and close.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Solutions Architecture, Value Engineering, Customer Success, Business Development, and Legal to win complex opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to organize and represent Everlaw at key industry conferences, events, and in-person government meetings.
  • Utilize our modern sales tech stack—including Salesforce, Gong, SalesNavigator, Govspend, and AI tools—to navigate territory opportunities, orchestrate outreach and research your accounts.
  • Travel regularly to attend tradeshows, onsite customer meetings, and other in-person engagements; travel is a required part of this role.

About You

  • You have at least 3 years of enterprise SaaS or legal services sales experience selling into complex accounts or government agencies, with a proven track record of quota overachievement ($1M+ ARR).
  • You are an agile hunter who excels at prospecting, building pipeline, and leading sophisticated, value-based sales processes.
  • You bring strong strategic presentation skills and are comfortable conducting needs analysis with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate a team-first mindset and can collaborate seamlessly across internal and external groups to close strategic deals.
  • You are willing to travel monthly throughout your territory to meet clients and attend industry conferences.
  • You are authorized to work in the United States. Please note that at this time, Everlaw is not sponsoring U.S. employment visas for this role.

Bonus points

  • Experience selling legal technology platforms.
  • Experience navigating public sector procurement.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
  • Experience with transactional usage-based models and multi-year annual commitment commercial structures.

About Everlaw

When a lawsuit or investigation happens, teams must comb through vast amounts of electronic evidence — emails, documents, chats, files — to find what matters. That work is not a side task but the case itself, and where most of the time and money in litigation goes. Everlaw is the litigation and investigation management platform changing that, using AI to turn mountains of messy data into the handful of facts that win or lose a case, compressing weeks of work into hours.

We're the kind of place that's ranked #1 on G2 in our category and named a Great Place to Work™ by our own team.
