About This Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Enterprise Risk Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing Hippo’s enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, with responsibility for enterprise risk reporting, analytics, and continuous improvements of ERM processes. This role requires a strong analytical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to proactively drive initiatives and partner with stakeholders across the business.  

What You’ll Do:

Risk Support

  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of best practice documents including ERM Framework Playbooks, SOPs, procedures and education materials
  • Administer and maintain Hippo’s issue reporting process, Hippo Issue Process (HIP), including monitoring, reviewing and challenging issues reported through HIP, and identified through Corporate Risk Programs and Process Assessment workshops under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Enterprise Risk
  • Own the accuracy, integrity, and usability of issue tracking and reporting dashboard within the company’s GRC tool, ensuring timely visibility for management and governance
  • Support in the preparation of key documents for the Enterprise Risk Working Gorup (ERWG), Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC), and the board meetings ensuring clear articulation of risks, trends, and management actions
  • Support the design, implementation, and evolvement of key processes and documents that promote a strong risk culture throughout Hippo, including enterprise risk communications, maintaining risk accountabilities framework and annual enterprise risk training programs
  • Partner closely with the Senior Manager of Enterprise Risk to manage and deliver the annual Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and Hippo Top Risk Assessment (TRA)
  • Support the Enterprise Risk team in the preparation, facilitation and monitoring of Corporate Risk Program Assessments and Control Risk Self Assessments
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders to embed risk thinking into day-to-day decision making
  • Monitor, support and provide coordination across key risk domains, including model risk, AI risk and emerging risk processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards

Risk Analytics

  • Lead the development and management risk reporting and risk analytics aligned to Hippo Top Risks supporting the Senior Manager and Chief Risk Officer with clear insights and trend analysis
  • Support the monitoring of risk appetite measures and provide advice and challenges on key risk management metrics and scorecards
  • Provide support on the monitoring of risk tolerance and aggregation monitoring, highlighting emerging concerns and areas requiring management attention

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-5 years of experience in risk management, data analytics, or related fields
  • Experience in the insurance industry is strongly preferred
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with an advantage in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Bit Query, Looker Studio, GRC tools)
    • Experience with risk management software and methodologies an advantage
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Drives initiatives independently with urgency, applying curiosity, sound judgment, and agility to succeed in fast changing environments 
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, aligning cross-functional teams and building trusted partnerships to achieve shared outcomes
  • Manages multiple priorities and workstreams with strong time management, attention to detail, and efficient execution
