Ready to shape how risk drives strategy? Diebold Nixdorf is seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager to help transform our ERM program and deliver impactful, business-focused risk insights.

In this newly created role, you’ll partner with leaders across the organization to enhance risk assessments, strengthen decision-making, and embed a proactive risk culture. You’ll play a key role in advancing a modern, value-driven ERM program aligned with the vision of the VP of Audit, Risk & Assurance.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to influence enterprise strategy, build innovative risk practices, and make a meaningful impact in a global organization

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of robust, scalable ERM strategies and frameworks, helping mature capabilities from risk identification through ongoing monitoring and management.
  • Lead risk identification, assessment, and prioritization processes, collaborating with department heads and business partners to ensure comprehensive coverage of risks throughout the organization.
  • Use of AI, data, automation and dashboards to drive risk informed decision making across the business to support the role of trusted advisor to cross-functional leaders.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships to facilitate risk discussions, workshops, and training sessions to promote a risk-aware culture throughout the organization.
  • Monitor emerging risks and industry trends, assessing potential impacts and advising required controls.
  • Prepare materials and updates for executive leadership, Board committees, and cross-functional working groups.
  • Support Audit, Risk and Assurance function collectively to integrate ERM risk-insights into strategic planning, operational reviews, and business resiliency. 
  • Navigate ambiguity and changing priorities while managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment; balancing efficiency, quality, and attention to detail effectively.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, with a concentration in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CRMA, CRISC, FRM, CIA, CPA) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, audit, operational risk, or related disciplines, ideally within a large multinational organization.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate risk topics into clear leadership and Board-ready materials.
  • Experience managing large datasets, utilizing risk management tools, Power BI, and various reporting or data platforms. 
  • Application of data analysis, AI, and quantitative methods to interpret data, identify trends, and generate meaningful insights.
  • Ability to partner and present to all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, and influence decisions across large, complex, global organizations.
  • Ability to work independently with strong accountability and work ethic 
  • Demonstrate decision making skills to recognize, evaluate, and escalate risks, while assessing suitable mitigation strategies.

The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000.  Actual compensation will depend on factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, and relevant experience. Certain roles may include additional components beyond base salary, such as incentive opportunities or other forms of variable compensation. Details of any such components will be discussed during the interview process and will be governed by the applicable plan documents.
