Title Reviewer (NJ & PA) – Creditors Rights Law Firm

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Title Reviewer to support our foreclosure team. In this role you will review title search reports for residential and commercial properties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and identify the parties, liens, and interests that must be addressed in foreclosure complaints. You will work closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure complaints are prepared accurately, name all necessary defendants, and move forward without title-related delays.

Prior title review experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate who brings strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys close document review, methodical workflows, and being the person who catches what others miss before a complaint is filed.

Location

This position can be based in or around our Fairfield, NJ or Mount Laurel, NJ offices, with remote work available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review title search reports, commitments, and abstracts in connection with the preparation of foreclosure complaints
  • Verify chain of title, vesting, and the mortgage being foreclosed, including assignments and recording information
  • Identify all necessary and proper parties to be named, including subordinate lienholders, judgment creditors, tax interests, prior mortgages, and other encumbrances
  • Confirm lien priority and flag title defects, gaps, or issues requiring further investigation or curative action
  • Prepare clear title review summaries for attorneys and paralegals to use in drafting complaints
  • Order title rundowns, updates, and additional searches as needed
  • Apply New Jersey and Pennsylvania foreclosure requirements correctly, noting the differences in procedure between the two states
  • Track due dates and follow up on outstanding title items to keep matters moving
  • Maintain clear file notes and update the case management system with status and next steps

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures
  • Comfortable working with deadlines and handling multiple files at once
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Prior experience reviewing title in a law firm, title company, mortgage servicing, or real estate setting
  • Familiarity with foreclosure and title terminology (search reports, rundowns, vesting, lien priority, recordings)
  • Knowledge of New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania foreclosure practice
  • Experience using case management or document management software

What We Offer

  • Training and mentorship in foreclosure title review
  • A collaborative team environment with clear processes and support

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • 401(k)
