About us

Grid Status is revolutionizing the energy industry with a modern and open data analytics platform. Our mission is to provide accessible, actionable energy data to accelerate the energy transition.

In just two years, we've grown from zero to over 20,000 monthly active users across all facets of the energy sector. Our data has been featured in reporting and analysis by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and the Federal Reserve. Thousands of users rely on our products monthly, including renewable developers, asset operators, utilities, energy traders, and innovative startups.

What we're looking for

We're seeking an Energy Market Analyst focused on ERCOT to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of following the wholesale power markets, identifying areas and topics for content focus, and leveraging your experience to drive product development and help customers use Grid Status more effectively. You'll work closely with leadership to iterate and execute on these topics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ERCOT, an analytical mindset, and strong writing chops.

Whether you've got scars from fights over ancillary service duration requirements, a perfect mental model of eastern Houston's industrial transmission patchwork, or strong opinions on just how real any recent load forecast could possibly be, we want to hear from you.
