About the Role

Port’s Demand Generation team is hiring for a creative, detail-obsessed marketer whose strategy blends data-driven decisions with a thoughtful, people-oriented approach. This person has experience running conference sponsorships (from hundreds of attendees to tens of thousands) as well as hosted events (in-person and virtual) and is passionate about finding unique ways to move our ICP through the funnel. This is a critical hire for the Port Marketing Team and will play a key role in expanding the 2026 programs strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Strategy: Curate a comprehensive, global calendar of events to drive meetings booked and pipeline, including sponsorships at regional and national conferences. Work with the Head of Demand Generation to determine the lead and pipeline forecast for key events .Partner with sales, customer success, product, and other marketing teams to meet the goals set

Field Marketing: In addition to regional and conference sponsorships, identify potential ancillary events or gaps in the events calendar to host Port-only or co-marketed events. This role will lead the charge in researching, vetting, and recommending everything from locations and venues to target audiences and potential content.

Reporting & Analytics: Work with the Head of Demand Generation to determine the lead and pipeline forecast for key events while tracking KPIs across pre, during, and post-activity. Data and ROI is at the forefront of planning and supported by brand awareness initiatives.

Lead Management: Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to drive pre- and post- outreach, campaigns, and analysis. Time is of the essence and delivering quality leads with as much context as possible to the right team in a timely manner will be a recurring effort managed under this role.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in marketing, communications, business, or a related field at a tech or saas B2B company.
  • Proven track record of managing in-person and virtual events end-to-end.
  • Comfortable presenting and making recommendations to a variety of internal stakeholders.
  • Unmatched project management, organization and communication skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with overlapping deadlines, projects, and priorities.
  • Experience working with partners and third-party vendors to drive a comprehensive calendar of activities.
  • Strong bias towards action - continuously testing and improving across strategy and execution.
  • Willing to travel to the occasional event for both execution and research.
