About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Manager to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Global Events, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conceptualizing, planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of owned and third-party corporate events, including workshops, conference and trade events with the goal of creating rewarding experiences and engagements that promotes Dragos as the leader in OT (Operational Technology) Cybersecurity. You will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, CX, and product to align event strategies with business objectives and drive attendee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute corporate events from start to finish, including managing registration and promotion of external events.
- Build relationships and coordinate with executive, marketing, sales and product stakeholders to understand their event needs.
- Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Oversee event logistics, including transportation and accommodation when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security regulations.
- Provide on-site management and support during events.
- Evaluate event success and provide feedback for improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing owned and third-party events within a corporate environment.
- 2-5+ years of event campaign management experience to promote the presence or event via marketing and sales channels.
- Demonstrated experience managing a variety of events, from small workshops to large conferences.
- Proven ability to work with clients, vendors, show organizers and internal teams to deliver successful events.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Strong track record of negotiating contracts and managing vendor and organizer relationships.
- Familiarity with event management software and marketing tools such as Swoogo, Hubspot, Salesforce, Trello.
- Ability to multitask between projects and prioritize initiatives, while maintaining workload cross-functionally with internal teams and external partner counterparts simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer relationships with partner counterparts and internal team members.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity industry events such as Black Hat, RSAC, InfoSecurity Europe is a plus.
- Experience in software, or cybersecurity and specifically operational technology cybersecurity is a plus.
Compensation:
- Salary: $120,000
