Position Overview

The ideal candidate is an experienced entertainment journalist who has a deep knowledge of Film and TV, strong editing instincts, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign, edit and publish Film and TV feature articles.
  • Write high-quality features with original angles, strong research, and consistent voice.
  • Manage and mentor a team of freelance writers, giving constructive feedback.
  • Ensure editorial accuracy and audience relevance across all published content.
  • Identify trending topics, SEO opportunities, and evergreen ideas to drive traffic and engagement.
  • Collaborate with editorial leadership to develop content strategies and long-term editorial plans.
  • Uphold MovieWeb’s editorial standards and maintain a high level of journalistic integrity.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional editing and writing experience in entertainment.

  • Exceptional editing, fact-checking, and storytelling skills.

  • Comfortable working with CMS and familiarity with SEO.
