Department Overview
This department is responsible for selling Motorola Solutions offerings to the United States Federal Government Markets Division - DoD, VA, and DoE Sales.
Job Description

The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. Federal Government DOD accounts

  • Identifies diverse customer needs, and understand how our product portfolio can be applied to satisfy these needs

  • Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding the Motorola Solutions business model

  • Using the vision, strategy, and tools available, the candidate will become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners

  • Candidates will learn, develop, and be capable of clearly articulating account specific strategies for all Motorola solutions

  • Develop and enhance strong customer relationships across multiple levels and functions

  • Orchestrate and lead the extended Motorola team to understand the account's strategy, business imperatives, and top opportunities

  • Allocate appropriate resources, and obtain full collaboration of internal product groups and external partners as necessary to meet the needs of key accounts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety/military experience

  • OR 8+ years of sales/public safety/military experience

  • A technical background to include RF communications, First Responder software application platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) strongly desired

  • Prior experience in technical roles selling into or working for the various Department of Defense Services and or Federal Law Enforcement Agencies

  • Excellent communication, sales, and writing skills

  • Must have a demonstrated track record of closing major sales

  • An understanding of the proposal process with proposal assembly experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of IP networking, Information Assurance and or Cyber Security a plus

  • Must be a self-motivated problem solver

  • An ideal candidate will be able to help customers envision solutions, services, and applications

  • Solid working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Google Productivity Suite strongly desired

  • Development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies in a highly collaborative environment imperative

  • Must be self-reliant and able to work effectively from a remote office

  • This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Residential Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to travel 50% - 75% within territory

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
