Job Purpose:

The Fee Schedule Business Analyst will use analytical, technical, and organizational skills and experiences to deliver value to the Medata team.  The purpose of this role is to analyze adopted guidelines and prepare detailed software specifications for the automation of the regulations set forth by each state or governing entity for Workers’ Compensation and No-Fault medical bill review.


Duties:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements on adopted state guidelines and clients’ needs
  • Create detailed software specifications for development within Medata's proprietary application
  • Work within the team to implement the best solutions within the software
  • Assist with inquiries and provide internal and external customers support as required
  • Generate documentation as needed for processes and functionality implemented within the application
  • Attend conferences or seminars as required
  • Use of technical tools as taught in the department to look into data tables and identify solutions for reported problems
  • Participate in client meetings as requested
  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required as an essential function of this role
  • Other duties as assigned or as the business requires

 

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years experience in Workers’ Compensation insurance, medical bill review, and/or healthcare industry 
  • Knowledge of Medicare payment policies
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of medical bill review
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with excellent time and stress management skills
  • Must be extremely detail and deadline oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • The ability to communicate technical and business information clearly and lead collaborative meetings with representatives from internal departments and client companies
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)
