To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Field Applications Engineer, This position can be based remotely or in the Henrico VA or Dallas TX areas.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Sales Operations the Field Applications Engineer will be accountable for providing technical guidance and information to customers on a pre-sales and post-sales basis to enable delivery of design, fabrication, and assembly goals, per customers’ expectations.
What a typical day looks like:
- Provide technical support to sales team and clients throughout the enquiry process.
- Be able to engage with clients/consultants to ensure we are in control of the design process and influence Plans and Specifications.
- Review and approve equipment drawings / specifications including assisting with the design / development of RFP submittals.
- Minimizing exposure and risk throughout the sales process by assisting the sales team completing CDEs and other required technical documentation.
- Assist with the coordination of key project proposals during the handover process to operations.
- Conduct product seminars and training on Anord Mardix product and solutions to: end customers, consultant engineers, and sales team.
- Positive engagement in the developing company’s products and to facilitate the sales execution.
- Assist design departments with product compliance to the relevant industry standards.
- To help provide technical direction in product design to drive innovation of the Anord Mardix solutions.
- Proactive risk identification and recognize system deficiencies and implement effective technical solutions.
- Reviews customer requirements, identifies and communicates potential issues and provides recommendations that will meet both the capabilities of Anord Mardix and the specifications of the customer.
- Prepares and maintains required documentation.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
- Typically require a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
- Demonstrates expert operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Demonstrates mastery of expertise in multiple areas and industry.
- Technical knowledge regarding the application of Power Distribution products (Preferably with the Data Center market: Switchgears, Busway, PDU.)
- Demonstrated ability to interface with Electrical Consultant Principals, Lead Electrical Engineers, and End Users.
- Knowledgeable of Anord Mardix Electrical products, services and competitors. (Preferred).
