Zafran is on a mission to stop the exploitation of vulnerabilities everywhere. We’re transforming how security teams prioritize and reduce risk, moving beyond legacy vulnerability management toward a Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) operating model that actually works in the real world.

We’re looking for a seasoned cybersecurity leader to join us as a Field CISO, someone who has built and scaled security programs and understands the real-world operational challenges modern teams face. In this high-impact, customer-facing role at the intersection of security strategy and go-to-market, you’ll partner with Sales and SE on strategic opportunities, frame problems the way security leaders experience them, and help organizations operationalize CTEM to drive measurable exposure reduction.

About Zafran:

Our Mission: To stop the exploitation of vulnerabilities, everywhere.

What makes us different: Zafran de-risks 90% of critical vulnerabilities overnight across your hybrid environment and utilizes Agentic Capabilities and your existing security tools to rapidly mitigate and remediate the 10% most likely to be exploited.

Who’s behind us: Zafran is backed by Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, and a deep belief that cybersecurity should move as fast as attackers do. We’re one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, scaling to meet demand from the world’s most advanced, security-obsessed organizations.

We’re serious about our mission- so expect work that matters, teammates who challenge and inspire you, and plenty of fun along the way!

What you will do:

  • Support GTM efforts as a trusted security advisor on customer and prospect calls
  • Lead or support product demos and POV engagements
  • Share real-world security leadership experience to build credibility and trust
  • Position and operationalize Zafran within CTEM workflows
  • Partner with Sales and SEs on strategic opportunities and executive conversations
  • Contribute to sales enablement and internal GTM alignment
  • Represent Zafran as a CTEM thought leader through events and content
  • Provide field-driven feedback to Product on customer challenges and gaps
  • 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including senior practitioner or leadership roles
  • Expert-level knowledge of Vulnerability Management and CTEM
  • Strong understanding of AppSec, Cloud Security, and SecOps
  • Deep familiarity with legacy security tooling and process challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executives, practitioners, and internal teams
  • Willingness to travel up to ~50%

At Zafran, people matter! We provide a robust benefits program that includes flexible PTO, health insurance plans (medical, dental, vision), a monthly stipend for phone and internet, 401k, flexible spending account, and a home office stipend when joining!

At Zafran, we’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe the best teams are built by people who think differently, come from all kinds of backgrounds, and aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo. We welcome everyone across race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, national origin, and veteran status, because what matters most is what you bring to the table.

If you’re curious, fun, and someone who gets things done, we’d love to meet you
