Senior Manager – Managed Services Transitions: Finance Technology Implementation

CFGI, founded in 2000, is a dynamic and fast-growing financial consulting firm, serving as the trusted partner to CFOs and their organizations. We help clients tackle complex challenges across accounting, corporate finance, M&A, IPO readiness, and digital transformation. We blend deep technical expertise with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to help the world’s leading companies move forward with confidence.

CFGI’s Managed Services practice delivers transformative finance and accounting solutions by fully managing operations below the CFO level. We partner with clients to optimize their finance functions, streamline processes, enhance reporting, and enable faster, data-driven decision-making across core finance areas including accounting operations, financial close, and reporting.

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead finance technology implementation workstreams within CFGI’s Managed Services Transitions function. This role is responsible for configuring and deploying the full spectrum of finance and accounting technology that powers our clients’ operations – from ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, and Rillet to process automation and workflow tools including BILL.com, Ramp, Vic.AI, and similar solutions. The Senior Manager will serve as CFGI’s lead implementor on client onboarding engagements, owning the technology workstream from discovery and design through go-live and handoff to steady-state delivery. This is a high-impact, client-facing role for a hands-on practitioner who combines deep technical implementation expertise with strong finance process knowledge and the ability to drive complex projects across multiple stakeholders and timelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technology implementation workstreams across client onboarding engagements, covering ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, Rillet) and financial operations tools (BILL.com, Ramp, Vic.AI, and others), from requirements gathering and system design through configuration, data migration, testing, training, and go-live

  • Serve as the primary technology implementation lead on Managed Services transition engagements, partnering closely with the broader transitions team to ensure system readiness aligns with go-live timelines and steady-state delivery requirements

  • Conduct current-state assessments of client finance technology environments, identifying gaps, integration needs, and opportunities to rationalize or upgrade systems as part of the transition to CFGI’s Managed Services model

  • Design future-state system configurations and workflows that reflect both client requirements and CFGI’s operational standards, ensuring a seamless transition from implementation to ongoing delivery

  • Lead client-facing discovery sessions, configuration workshops, UAT cycles, and go-live readiness reviews; manage stakeholder communication across finance, IT, and operations teams

  • Identify gaps between client requirements and standard system functionality; develop practical solutions through configuration decisions, process redesign, or integration approaches without unnecessary customization

  • Manage implementation project plans, risk logs, issue tracking, and milestone reporting; proactively escalate blockers and keep cross-functional teams aligned

  • Collaborate with CFGI’s transitions, delivery, and operational teams to ensure technology implementations are fully aligned with how operations will be run in steady state

  • Mentor and develop Managers and Consultants on implementation workstreams, building team capabilities across both technical execution and client delivery

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of CFGI’s implementation methodology, toolkits, and playbooks to drive consistency and quality across engagements

  • Support business development by contributing to scoping, solutioning, and proposal development for prospective Managed Services clients requiring technology implementation support

Qualifications and Capabilities

  • 7–10+ years of experience in finance technology implementation, systems deployment, or finance transformation, with meaningful experience in a consulting or professional services environment

  • Demonstrated track record of leading full-cycle implementations of ERP platforms and/or financial operations tools, from discovery through go-live and hypercare

  • Hands-on configuration experience with one or more ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, or Rillet strongly preferred) and familiarity with financial workflow and automation tools such as BILL.com, Ramp, Vic.AI, or comparable solutions

  • Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes – record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and financial reporting – and how they are supported and optimized within finance technology systems

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream implementation projects with aggressive timelines, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities

  • Ability to translate technical system capabilities into clear business terms for finance and accounting stakeholders, and to translate business requirements into actionable system design decisions

  • Strong project management skills including planning, status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution

  • Experience working within or alongside managed services, outsourcing, or shared services delivery models is a plus

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills; comfortable engaging with senior finance leadership as well as hands-on operational teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) are a plus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Director within the Managed Services Transitions function

  • Works closely with Transitions Managers, Consultants, and cross-functional Managed Services delivery teams
