Our Zeebs are passionate about learning, growing, and working together to tackle exciting problems.

We're seeking a Financial Analyst to add to our growing team, supporting strategic planning and operational decision-making by performing or overseeing highly complex financial analysis and business modeling.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Finance Manager, you will work closely with the SVP of Finance, Accounting, Marketing, R&D, and Commercialization teams to achieve profitable growth.

Location:

Our company headquarters are in Austin, TX, but our employees work remotely across the US. For folks who live around Austin, we offer the option to join us in our office or opt for hybrid setup. Whether you prefer the structure of an office, the convenience of remote work, or a mix of both, we support what works best for you!

Please note: at this time we are not able to hire in California or Massachusetts.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial performance analyses and presentations for executives and the Board

  • Build and maintain financial models to support financial planning and reporting and provide insights to leadership

  • Monitor daily/monthly financial performance against goals, identifying trends, variances, and risks to support data-driven decision-making

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process, including rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning.

  • Support functional teams in tracking headcount and operating expenses against budgets and forecasts; monitor and help optimize vendor expenses

  • Identify, lead, and execute opportunities to improve, automate, standardize financial systems and reporting processes to optimize efficiency

What We're Looking For:

As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks with a strong sense of ownership, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related major

  • 2+ years of Corporate Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Consulting or a related analytical field experience

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with demonstrated rigor

  • Experience using enterprise planning systems (e.g. Sage Intacct, Netsuite and/or others) and BI tools (Looker and/or SQL) is preferred

  • Experience in a high-growth environment (startup or fast-scaling business); insurance or fintech experience is a plus

  • Collaborate effectively across an organization with excellent communication skills and be comfortable engaging with management across multiple functions

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities whilst having a keen focus on details and a passion for quality

  • Ability to recognize and implement process improvements and build scalable solutions

  • Highly motivated and natural self-starter, independent thinker, and team player

Why Work Here?
  • When we say “All Stripes Welcome,” we mean it. Considering viewpoints outside of our own as individuals creates a better, more inclusive experience for everyone

  • We live and breathe inclusion. You will be part of a wide array of voices, opinions, and experiences that inform everything we do

  • We believe in innovation. You will be part of experimentation; creative problem solving; cross-functional collaboration; testing new approaches, tools and ideas and learning from those tests; and understanding when innovation can drive real impacts and when it may not be needed.

  • We trust our teams. You’ll own your work, balancing personal accountability with team accountability. Together, we take pride in individual and team contributions; make thoughtful decisions; and want our teammates to succeed.

  • We care about each other. You’ll join a team that truly lives their values, both in and out of the office. Our Zeebs have honest conversations, give direct feedback, and remember that we are all people here to do great work.

  • We take thoughtful action. You will be empowered to do the right things as efficiently as possible, not just checking boxes off a list without thinking.
