We partner with carriers and shippers to deliver reliable, competitively priced transportation services across North America.Position SummaryLST Group LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Flatbed Pricing Analyst to develop, analyze, and manage pricing strategies for our flatbed transportation services. This role is critical to ensuring competitive rates, healthy margins, and strong carrier and customer relationships. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, familiarity with the flatbed freight market, and the ability to translate data into actionable pricing decisions.Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze flatbed freight rates, market trends, and lane-specific data to develop accurate and competitive pricing
  • Build and maintain pricing models for spot and contract flatbed freight
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to quote rates for customers and carriers
  • Monitor fuel costs, capacity trends, and seasonal demand fluctuations to adjust pricing strategies
  • Evaluate historical shipment data to identify pricing opportunities and margin improvement
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards on pricing performance, win/loss rates, and market benchmarks
  • Support RFP/RFQ processes with pricing analysis and bid strategy recommendations
  • Partner with carrier procurement teams to ensure pricing aligns with available capacity
  • Stay current on flatbed industry trends, regulations, and competitor pricing practices
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in freight pricing, logistics analytics, or transportation, preferably with flatbed experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with TMS platforms and pricing/analytics tools a plus
  • Solid understanding of flatbed equipment types, lane dynamics, and freight market drivers
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with load boards, rate benchmarking tools (e.g., DAT, Truckstop) preferred
