Description

Freytag's Florist, a family-owned and operated flower shop serving Austin since 1974, is one of Austin's most established and respected florists. We are seeking an experienced floral designer to join our talented and professional team.

We're looking for a designer who takes pride in their work, works with consistency, and thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment. You'll create a wide range of designs from bold, contemporary arrangements to refined traditional pieces working both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Our designers focus on what they do best, creating beautiful arrangements. Unlike many flower shops, you won't be pulled away for phones, flower processing, or bucket cleaning. We have a dedicated team for that.

Freytag’s Florist is proud to offer the following benefits to our full time team members:

  • $20 per hour, plus tips. While tip amounts cannot be guaranteed, they have historically been $6,000+ per year.
  • Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance
  • 401k
  • Company-sponsored Life Insurance
  • Paid Vacation after one year of employment
  • Employee discount up to 50% off
  • Six Paid Holidays throughout the year

Requirements

  •  Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail flower shop
  • Strong knowledge of fresh floral product, design techniques, and mechanics
  • Ability to execute both traditional and contemporary styles with confidence
  • Ability to stand for the duration of a shift
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Positive, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Passion for quality and excellent customer service

Austin’s tech scene spans many verticals, but it’s particularly known for hardware, including semiconductors, as well as AI, biotechnology and cloud computing.
