Foreign Legal Consultant:  Falcon Rappaport & Berkman LLP seeks Foreign Legal Consultant. Job site is located at 1201 Dove Street, Suite 400, Newport Beach, CA 92660. The position requires L.L.M with specialization in Business, Taxes, or Finance and Ability to sit for California State Bar.
Job Duties:                
Research of nuanced areas of law, specific to both federal and state tax. Draft appropriate documents for clients, as requested with a focus on the tax ramifications. Prepare 706 returns for review by accountant. Prepare legal plan for clients' assets. Under supervision of the firm’s principal attorney: analyze and plan case strategy to help clients determine specific distribution of their estates; communicate with clients to gather information, convey advice, and help clients devise ways to reduce taxes or fees that may be imposed on an estate. Conduct legal research on a variety of state and federal tax laws, estate planning, wills and trusts, property and real estate, and family law. Under supervision of the firm’s principal attorney, draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents and may assist with other personal and business matters, such as retirement plans, life insurance policies, and charitable contributions; Liaise with client representatives (lawyers, accountants, etc.) and other professionals to gather information for cases; If a matter goes to probate court, applicant may work under the supervision of the firm’s principal attorney to prepare the case for litigation.
Salary is $151,237
