About Eudia

Eudia is redefining legal work through AI-powered Augmented Intelligence, enabling the world's most consequential legal teams to move faster, decide smarter, and operate at a scale that was previously impossible. Backed by $105M in Series A funding led by General Catalyst, we are building the category-defining platform that combines AI-driven automation with deep legal expertise, transforming legal departments into strategic engines of institutional power.

We move fast. Our teams ship solutions in days delivering measurable impact for organizations that cannot afford to wait. We are now bringing that same velocity and precision to the national security and defense communities, where the stakes are highest and the need for AI-enabled legal capacity is most acute.

We are a team of builders, operators, and problem-solvers who believe the future of legal work will be won by those who harness AI as a force multiplier. If you have served the mission, understand the operational tempo of the Department of War, and are ready to bring cutting-edge AI to the legal teams that protect national security, we want to meet you.

Opportunity for Impact

This is not a staff attorney role. As an FDL, you are the human-AI interface for some of the most important legal work in the federal government. You will deploy Eudia's platform to multiply the throughput of DoW legal teams compressing weeks of work into hours, enabling smaller legal offices to punch far above their weight, and building AI-powered workflows that become institutional capability. You will also help shape Eudia's government product roadmap from the front lines.

About the Role

You will be embedded on-site at a DoW customer facility, operating inside the customer's environment, including SCIF settings where required while staying tightly connected to Eudia's product, engineering, and government growth teams.

This role is built for a lawyer who has operated inside the DoW, understands how government legal offices actually work, and is ready to be the person who brings AI-enabled legal practice to the institutions that need it most.

Key Responsibilities

Mission-Critical Solution Deployment: Serve as the primary AI legal expert embedded with DoW customers. Translate the customer's legal workflows, mission requirements, and institutional knowledge into AI-powered solutions that deliver measurable throughput gains.

Legal Throughput Multiplication: Help drive the design, build, and iteration of AI-enabled workflows that compress legal work cycles such as contract review, legal research, regulatory compliance, FOIA, litigation supportfrom days to hours. You are the one who makes the impossible feel routine.

Trusted Advisor to Government Legal Leadership: Build trusted relationships with the senior attorneys, JAGs, and general counsel offices you are embedded with. Understand their pain points deeply enough to anticipate what they need before they ask.

Product Intelligence: Act as the eyes and ears for Eudia's product and engineering teams inside a cleared, operational environment. Surface high-value use cases, test new capabilities in the field, and bring back the signal that shapes the government product roadmap.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Stay tightly connected to Eudia's government growth, product, and engineering teams. Contribute to proposal development, task order execution, and the continuous improvement of Eudia's government platform.

Knowledge Transfer & Enablement: Train and enable government legal teams to adopt AI tools confidently. Build internal champions. Leave every engagement stronger than you found it.

What We're Looking For

J.D. or equivalent legal qualification.

Active TS/SCI clearance, or a demonstrated and strong eligibility to obtain one. Candidates with existing clearances will be prioritized.

Meaningful experience working directly within the Department of Wae— as a JAG officer, civilian OGC attorney, or contractor embedded with DoD legal teams. Familiarity with the operational and legal culture of the Department of the Army is a plus.

Deep, hands-on proficiency with AI tools and a demonstrated ability to use technology to scale legal output — not as a curiosity, but as a core competency.

The mindset of a force multiplier: you measure your impact by what your team can accomplish with you in the room, not just what you can do alone.

Ability to independently manage complex legal matters in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Relentless owner mentality: you see the gap, close it, and brief up — regardless of whether it was in your original lane.

Exceptional communication skills across legal, technical, and operational audiences. You can brief a General Counsel and a software engineer in the same afternoon and leave both better off.

Active curiosity about the future of legal work and a genuine desire to be one of the people who shapes it.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior JAG Corps experience (any branch) or equivalent service as a DoD civilian attorney.

Experience operating within or alongside the CDAO, OSD, Joint Staff, or a Combatant Command legal office.

Familiarity with government contracting vehicles, task order execution, or ISV program structures.

Experience building or deploying legal technology in a government or cleared environment.

Prior experience at a legal technology company, AI startup, or in a forward-deployed / field-facing legal role.

Compensation

Base salary: $180,000. Equity participation. Full benefits.

This is a competitive package designed to attract senior legal talent with rare capabilities. We take equity seriously. Eudia is building a category-defining company, and we want you to own a piece of it.

Why You'll Want This Role

Mission That Matters: You will work on some of the most consequential legal matters in the federal government. The DoD's legal challenges are not hypothetical. They shape real outcomes.

You Are the Pioneer: Eudia is bringing AI-powered legal practice to the national security community for the first time at this scale. You will not be following a playbook; you will be writing it.

Rare Combination of Depth and Velocity: You get the stability and mission gravity of government legal work with the speed, innovation culture, and upside of one of the most well-funded AI companies in the legal space.

Equity in a Category-Defining Company: Eudia is backed by $105M in Series A funding led by General Catalyst. The opportunity to build meaningful equity ownership while doing important public-sector work is genuinely rare.

A Team That Gets It: Your colleagues at Eudia understand legal work, AI, and the complexity of operating in regulated environments. You will not have to explain why this is hard, they already know.

If you have served the mission, know what it takes to work inside cleared environments, and are ready to be the person who brings AI-enabled legal practice to the institutions that protect this country, we want to hear from you.
