Own full-cycle sales for public safety customers: outbound, discovery, demos, pilots, procurement, negotiation, and close. Generate pipeline through outbound, conferences, and referrals. Build relationships across police, sheriffs, prosecutors, and federal LEOs. Navigate public-sector buying (RFPs, grants, cooperative purchasing) and co-lead pilots to convert users into champions. Help define GTM strategy, bring customer feedback to product, and represent the company at national conferences. Significant travel required.
Role Description:
We’re looking for a gifted Founding Account Executive to work directly with the CEO, Head of Business Operations, and founding team to help spread Closure’s impact.
- This is not a rest-and-vest or 9-to-5—we are a growing startup delivering incredible outcomes for law enforcement agencies across the U.S. Succeeding at this role will take hunger, elbow grease, and a white-glove approach to succeed.
- Your work here matters to how AI is adopted by public safety agencies, and the stakes are quite high. Thoughtfulness and integrity are also critical to success.
- This role will require significant travel to conferences, customer onsites, and more.
Core Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Sales
- Own every stage of the cycle: outbound, discovery, demo, pilot, procurement, negotiation, and close, post-close touchpoints.
- Co-lead pilots and POCs that convert frontline users into champions.
- Manage CRM hygiene, deal documentation, and transparent communications.
- Pipeline Generation
- Generate your own pipeline through outbound, conferences, referrals, and relationships in the law enforcement community.
- Build and maintain a trusted group of decision-makers across police departments, sheriffs' offices, prosecutors’ offices, and federal LEOs.
- Identify and prioritize the agencies most likely to benefit from Closure.
- Public Sector Navigation
- Navigate the realities of agency buying: RFPs, sole-source justifications, cooperative purchasing vehicles, grant cycles, competing priorities, and security reviews.
- GTM Foundation
- Help define positioning, pricing, and sales motion as the company scales.
- Bring the voice of the customer back to product and engineering—the roadmap will be shaped by what you hear in the field.
- Represent Closure at conferences nationwide (IACP, major chiefs and sheriffs associations, and regional conferences).
- Full-Cycle Sales
