About Us

Private events and catering can significantly increase restaurant and event space revenue, but many venues are stuck using outdated, error-prone manual processes - unlike the sophisticated software employed by large chains. Perfect Venue is leveling the playing field by offering local restaurants and venues an affordable, user-friendly, event management tool to help local them compete with big chains. This is just the start, with plans to expand into a broader marketplace that includes other event services (DJs, florists, etc).

We’re hiring our first DevOps engineer to design and own our platform from first principles.

This is not a maintenance role.

We are migrating to a new cloud environment and rebuilding our infrastructure from the ground up. There is no legacy system to inherit, you’ll define how everything works: infrastructure, deployment, observability, and reliability,

If you’ve wanted to build a system the right way, this is that opportunity.

You won’t just improve systems, you’ll define them.

Responsibilities

You will have end-to-end ownership of our infrastructure and developer platform:

  • Define and implement our infrastructure architecture from scratch

  • Rebuild our CI/CD pipeline to better scale with a growing team

  • Own all infrastructure-as-code and environment provisioning

  • Design our observability strategy (metrics, logs, traces, alerting)

  • Establish best practices for reliability, scaling, and incident response

  • Own security fundamentals (secrets, access control, production hardening)

  • Partner with application engineers to create a fast, reliable developer experience

  • Make foundational decisions on cloud, tooling, and architecture

  • Contribute as an application developer when needed

Background
  • 6+ years DevOps/infrastructure

  • 3+ years application development

  • Experience in both startup and scale up environments

  • Expertise using infrastructure management tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Familiarity with programming languages like Ruby, Python, and JavaScript

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity that you can actually use

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with premiums paid for you and cost sharing for dependents

  • Flexible PTO and 401(k)

  • Complimentary One Medical membership for you and your family

  • Hybrid schedule with three days per week in office

Perfect Venue is committed to building a winning team
