About Pragmatike

Pragmatike is on a mission to help early-stage startups, and scaelups — win the talent war and build exceptional tech teams.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Founding Tech Recruiter to build out our team as we embark on our next phase of growth. Someone smart — connected to the tech world — that moves, operates fast and efficiently — a superstar, a pirate. You'll operate as a strategic partner in the heart of the startup ecosystem, pioneering how we find, attract, and engage the world’s best talent.

Why This Role Is Different
  • Shape the future of tech hiring: Engage directly with the startup and tech talent community, and become a visible advocate for Pragmatike.

  • Zero-to-one impact: Design the recruiting systems, processes, and standards from scratch, and partner with product and engineering to refine our hiring approach.

  • High leverage: Recruit across a variety of functions, from engineering to go-to-market, and see your impact on the business firsthand.

You’re a Fit If You…
  • Have 5+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles in-house or at a search agency

  • Are at ease in startup environments and thrive amid ambiguity, rapid iteration, and high growth

  • Communicate clearly—both written and verbally—and make every candidate feel valued

  • Are well-connected, respected by peers, and have a personal brand in the recruiting community (e.g., active LinkedIn, trusted network)

  • Care deeply about quality, processes, and candidate experience

  • Are excited to work flexibly—this role is fully remote and freelance-friendly

Nice to Have
  • Previous experience recruiting at early-stage startups or high-growth tech companies

  • Familiarity with AI, SaaS, or B2B talent markets

  • Enjoy writing or speaking about recruiting, talent, or startup culture

Compensation & Benefits
  • Flexible freelance contract with autonomy

  • Direct impact on company growth and culture

  • Opportunity to be Pragmatike’s first recruiter and shape our future

  • Fully remote work environment and flexible hours

  • Direct partnership with founders
