Role Overview
This freelance/project-based role supports DEKRA’s Client Services Materials team by producing visually compelling workshop materials. As an external creative partner, the designer collaborates with internal Graphic Designers, Consultants, and SMEs to deliver graphic assets for DEKRA presentations and workbooks.
Scope of Work
- Collaborate with internal Graphic Designers, Consultants, and SMEs to ensure visual alignment of materials.
- Ensure all designs adhere to DEKRA brand standards.
- Support the editing and refinement of templates, layouts, slide decks, and workbook visuals in collaboration with internal project leads.
Required Qualifications
- Proven freelance experience in graphics or learning design.
- Portfolio demonstrating visually strong learning or training materials.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate remotely.
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 proficiency (specifically, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint and MS Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing workshop, facilitation, or learning materials.
- Experience creating professional PowerPoint presentations, participant workbooks, and visual learning assets for corporate audiences.
- Knowledge of visual learning principles, information design, and adult learning concepts.
- Experience working within established brand standards and applying them across multiple deliverables and formats.
- Ability to translate complex concepts and subject matter expert content into engaging, visually effective materials.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams and managing feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design best practices for presentations and learning materials.
- Experience working with design templates, icons, illustrations, infographics, and visual frameworks that improve consistency and scalability.
- Knowledge of video, animation, or motion graphics tools is a plus.
Freelancer Expectations
- Manages own schedule and workload based on agreed project timelines.
- Provides services independently and is not classified as an employee.
- Responsible for own equipment, tools, and software unless otherwise agreed.
- May support multiple DEKRA projects depending on workload and alignment.
Anticipated rate range: $50 - $55 per hour, commensurate with experience
