Hi there! We are Testlio, a global software testing company with its own freelance network. Our freelancers test apps from companies across the globe. Testlio is a great place for people who value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.

At the moment, we are looking for freelance software testers based in Delaware to join us in testing a popular wagering app.

We have partnered with a wagering app who regularly updates their product every two weeks. This happens around 3:30 AM – 4 AM US local time, during low-traffic periods, which is why we are looking for testers who would be available during this time to perform smoke testing on iOS mobile, Android Mobile and Web.

Here are some examples of the tasks you’ll be asked to perform:

  • Providing concise notes and evidence (screenshots / screen recordings if requested in the run).
  • Launching the product on your available platform(s).
  • Creating a consumer account on a wagering platform, which will include going through a KYC (know-your-customer) flow. Because this platform complies with US federal and state regulations, you will be required to use your own legal information to register. You should be prepared to provide: Full Legal Name and Date of Birth; Current US Address; Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Running through key wagering flows (for example: placing a wager, checking wager status, basic navigation, and other core actions defined in the run instructions).
  • Capturing and reporting any functional issues, crashes, obvious UI defects, or blocking problems in the wagering flow.

Benefits of being a freelancer at Testlio
  • Schedule: You can create your schedule and work on other testing runs that interest you.
  • Location: Testlio is a 100% remote company. Seriously, you can work from the coffee shop, your home, or while waiting for class.
  • Growth: You’ll be testing global-scale mobile apps and have the chance to boost your skills and grow your career.
  • Payment: You are paid by the hour, not by the bug. This means you get paid even if you did not uncover any bugs.
Requirements
  • Age: You have to be at least 21 years old.
  • Location: Must be physically located in Delaware.
  • Availability: You have to be available to test between 3:30 AM - 4:30 AM US local time for 30 to 1h.
  • Devices: You will need at least 2 of the following devices: iPhone, Android Phone, Laptop/Windows PC.
  • Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow. We offer a preparatory course that will help you learn more about testing on our website.
What does testing look like?
  • Type of testing: smoke testing.
  • Type of work: short-term, freelance.
  • Workload: Approximately 30 minutes to 1h of work every few weeks when the client's app receives an update.
  • Pay rate: The pay rate for this starts at $30 USD/hr if you have 1 of the necessary devices, increased to $50 USD/hr if you are able to test on all three platforms (iOS, Android, web).
  • Payment: You are paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer.
  • You will be required to create a consumer account on a wagering app, which complies to US regulations for sports betting and wagering apps.
