Hi, we’re Doonails! 💅🏼

We’re a fast-growing beauty startup rethinking the world of manicure. With innovative products, a strong community and a presence in our own online shop as well as at leading retail partners, we bring studio quality straight to your home: simple, fast and stylish.

And this is exactly where YOU come in.

We’re looking for a freelance video editor who lives and breathes performance and UGC ads: someone who turns scripts into thumb-stopping hooks for Meta and helps us launch TikTok Shop natively in the US and DE.

Your Role & Impact ⚡️

As Freelance Video Editor for Performance & UGC Ads, you take care of the whole edit from raw footage to upload-ready ad. Your hooks are what stop the scroll.

Your impact is direct and measurable. You push our testing volume (more ad variants = more shots at Level-1 and Level-2 hits in our hit-rate framework), you move our thumb-stop and hold rates through stronger, more varied hooks, and you help us launch TikTok Shop natively in the US and DE.

Your Core Responsibilities 👩‍💻👨‍💻

    Editing

  • Scope: A typical project contains 2-4 scripts with various hooks.
  • Style: Mostly voiceover-driven content (generated via ElevenLabs).
  • Workload: Currently 2-4 projects per week, and actively growing.
  • Localization
  • You create US and DE subtitles + VO for almost every project.
  • Clean versions

  • You export one clean version per project (no badges, no text).
  • Asset management

  • You select footage from our content database and actively bring in fresh material to avoid visual repetition.
  • Compliance
  • You name the final ads yourself, following the Doonails naming table.
  • Workflow

  • You run the end-to-end workflow across ClickUp (footage/Drive), Notion (briefing) and Frame (approval - usually 2 feedback loops until upload).
  • Proactive input
  • You bring your own ideas to level up creative and performance - not just working through output.

What You'll Bring to the Table 🤝

  • Proven track record: Proven experience editing performance/UGC ads for Meta, ideally also TikTok / TikTok Shop and Experience with VO and subtitle workflows, ideally multi-market (US + DE).

  • Tools: Very confident with Adobe Premiere and experience with CapCut.

  • Hooks: A strong eye for thumb-stopping hooks and the ability to deliver high creative variation.

  • Ownership: An independent, proactive way of working with strategic thinking. You bring your own performance ideas, and you’re happy to dive into an existing content/footage database and actively use new material.
  • Communication: Solid English is a must (for US Content), German is a strong plus.

What We Offer 💖

  • 💸 Competitive pay, tailored to your qualifications and experience

  • 🤝 A true ownership role with a high degree of trust and room to shape things your way

  • 📈 Growth potential: take on responsibility and bring your ideas directly to the table

Ready? We can’t wait to meet you! ✨
