Compensation: $160k — $240k USD base, 0.4-0.8% equity

Overview:
Tristero's mission is to increase individual sovereignty. We are focused on using cryptography to build a Binance-grade exchange platform on-chain with total privacy. Our initial focus is on blockchain interoperability, currently boasting industry-leading pricing and settlement times

We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Dapp Developer to be in charge of making our web app (Dapp) best in class. In this role you will work with a designer and 2-3 junior-intermediate React devs to make trading via the front-end as smooth and as fast as possible. We expect you to take responsibility for the performance, stability, and feel of the Dapp.

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Trading Infrastructure Engineering
Lead the development of ultra-low latency trading interfaces capable of handling sub-second quote refreshes across 15+ blockchain networks simultaneously. You'll architect and optimize the sophisticated debounced quote engine that currently handles EVM, Solana, Tron, and Bitcoin UTXO transactions, ensuring our trading experience rivals centralized exchanges like Binance while maintaining full decentralization. This includes implementing advanced order routing logic, optimizing WebSocket-based real-time order tracking, and building fail-safe mechanisms for cross-chain transaction monitoring that can handle network instability without degrading user experience.

Multi-Chain Performance & State Management Optimization
Drive the evolution of our complex Zustand-based state architecture that currently manages trading operations across vastly different blockchain paradigms—from EVM's account-based model to Bitcoin's UTXO system to Solana's parallel processing. You'll be responsible for eliminating performance bottlenecks in our memoization layer and ensuring seamless state synchronization across our provider hierarchy. The goal is to achieve Hyperliquid-level responsiveness while handling the additional complexity of true cross-chain interoperability.

Transaction management systems
Own the implementation of our next-generation protocol for cross-chain transfers between EVM, Solana, Tron, Bitcoin, and Ripple. You'll enhance retry logic, circuit breakers, and fallback mechanisms that ensure bulletproof UX across quote unavailability, blockchain network instability, and complex user behavior.

Scalable Component Architecture & Performance Engineering
Lead the development of a highly modular component and state management system that can dynamically adapt to different blockchain environments while maintaining a unified UX. You'll architect reusable trading components that can seamlessly switch between embedded wallets, traditional browser wallets, and mobile wallets across EVM, BTC, Solana, Tron, BSC, etc. —all while maintaining consistent performance metrics. This includes optimizing React render cycles for real-time price updates and building a sophisticated error handling system that gracefully manages the unique failure modes of each blockchain ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering roles, with a proven track record of leadership and technical expertise.
  • Strong proficiency in React.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision making.
  • Passion for blockchain technology (Crypto native experience is a plus).
  • Strong product sense

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source blockchain projects.
  • Prior experience shipping DeFi products.

We’ve got unlimited PTO, a full suite of healthcare options, and some swag with your name on it. We foster a high-trust, high-autonomy culture. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense team to build groundbreaking financial products with—Tristero may be the place for you.

We're looking forward to hearing from you! If you do not have any direct crypto experience, please
make sure to include a brief cover letter that explains why you think you can onboard to a new domain smoothly. This can be
very short - we do read these.
