Position Summary

The Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web applications and software solutions across both front-end and back-end environments. This role involves building responsive user interfaces, developing server-side applications, integrating APIs and databases, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and user-friendly.

The ideal candidate has strong programming and problem-solving skills, understands the full software development lifecycle, and can work effectively with designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications.
  • Build responsive, user-friendly, and accessible front-end interfaces.
  • Develop scalable and reliable back-end services, APIs, and applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Design and manage databases, data models, queries, and integrations.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to development team members.

  • Identify and resolve bugs and production issues.
  • Work with Git and version-control systems to manage source code.
  • Participate in software design, architecture, and technical planning.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional interfaces.
  • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, services, and software tools.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives when applicable.
  • Monitor application performance and assist with production deployments.
  • Implement CI/CD processes and automated deployment workflows.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, programming languages, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering standards.

Front-End Development

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Building applications with modern frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Creating reusable UI components.
  • Implementing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Managing application state and front-end data flow.
  • Integrating front-end applications with APIs.
  • Improving website performance and accessibility.
  • Ensuring consistent functionality across supported browsers and devices.

Back-End Development

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing server-side applications and business logic.
  • Building RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Working with technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, C#, PHP, Ruby, or similar languages.
  • Implementing authentication and authorization systems.
  • Processing and validating application data.
  • Developing background services and scheduled processes.
  • Integrating external systems and third-party services.
  • Designing scalable and maintainable application architectures.

Database Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Create efficient database schemas and data models.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries.
  • Manage database relationships, indexes, and transactions.
  • Perform data migrations when required.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar technologies.

DevOps and Deployment

Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:

  • Managing application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Monitoring application health, performance, and availability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional experience developing web applications or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end development.
  • Proficiency in at least one front-end framework or library.
  • Proficiency in at least one back-end programming language.
  • Strong understanding of databases and data management.
  • Experience developing and consuming APIs.
  • Knowledge of Git and version control.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
