We're a well-funded AI startup in stealth mode building intelligent platforms that transform healthcare decision-making. Our mission is to make complex healthcare navigation effortless through AI-powered recommendations and conversational interfaces that are secure, scalable, and accessible to everyone.

About the Role

As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll own the complete technology stack of our next-generation healthcare recommendation platform. You'll build everything from elegant frontends to robust backends, integrate cutting-edge AI features, and deploy scalable solutions that help users discover optimal healthcare plans through natural AI conversations.

This role offers end-to-end ownership in a modern monorepo environment, working with technologies like Next.js, React Native, NestJS, AWS, and various AI services. You'll collaborate closely with designers, AI specialists, and product teams to rapidly prototype and refine features based on user insights.

Location: Austin, TX (relocation assistance provided)

In this role, you will:

Lead fullstack development across web (Next.js/React + Tailwind), mobile (React Native/Expo), and backend (NestJS) in an Nx monorepo environment

Integrate AI features to create immersive conversational user experiences across text and voice interfaces

Build secure data systems

Manage deployments in AWS with tools like ECS Fargate, Docker, Terraform, ElastiCache, and Datadog

Develop robust APIs for chat messaging, AI assistant orchestration, user account management, with rate limiting and error handling

Collaborate cross-functionally to define roadmaps, experiment with AI capabilities, and adapt to evolving requirements

Optimize using data insights through visualization, A/B testing, and performance tuning to improve user engagement

You might thrive in this role if you:

Have comprehensive fullstack experience from frontend design to backend architecture, database optimization, and cloud deployment

Are experienced with AI engineering and cutting-edge AI integration techniques

Know the TypeScript ecosystem well, including Next.js 15/React 19, NestJS/Node.js, React Native/Expo, Prisma/RDS, and tools like Nx/PNPM/Docker/AWS ECS

Have built complex interactive apps such as real-time chat systems, recommendation engines, or data-rich profile management systems

Think like a product person - you empathize with users, prototype quickly, and make smart trade-offs to ship value in fast-paced environments

Care about AI's positive impact in healthcare while maintaining focus on ethics, privacy, and inclusive user experiences

Communicate effectively across teams, translating technical concepts into actionable insights for engineers, designers, and stakeholders

Enjoy playing with new technologies - we’re all pushing the envelope with how we develop products and we expect you to do the same
