Note: We are recruiting on behalf of our valued client. This opportunity is for a position with their organization, not with People Culture Talent. We're excited to help connect talented professionals with this exceptional team!

The Role

We're hiring a Frontend Engineer to shape the user experience of a platform used by some of the most technically sophisticated teams in software and AI.

This is a foundational role. You'll work closely with the founders, engineers, and customers to design experiences for complex, developer-facing workflows — and help establish the design standards the product will be built on from here. The team is small, the ownership is real, and the people you'll work with care deeply about craft. If you do your best work when the problems are hard and what you ship actually matters, then this is the environment for it.

What You’ll Own
  • Dashboard — The dashboard is the command center that customers go to to manage and troubleshoot their integrations. It serves engineers, product managers, and customer enablement teams. You will work on the dashboard experience, including how it looks, feels, and functions.

  • UI library — The UI library is a set of embeddable React components and hooks that customers put into their application for their customers to set up their integrations. Because it is a part of our customer’s product experiences and frontend stack, there are unique technical and UX challenges to ensure that it is composable, flexible and seamlessly fit into our user’s UI.

  • UI Prototyping — You have the freedom to come up with idea and rapidly prototype them using AI tools. You don’t need to wait for mocks or get buy in from a designer. You need to have great taste and intuition.

  • Customer Engagement — Talk directly to customers — user testing sessions, support questions, feedback gathering. Let what you hear shape what you build.

  • Full Stack Feature Development — Own the full loop: design, implementation, documentation, and customer communication. No throwing work over the fence. You are not afraid to dive into the backend and make PRs to unblock yourself.

  • Frontend Performance — Our dashboard is data-intensive, and you will work to ensure that the experience feels snappy and delightful.

What You’ll Bring
  • 4+ years engineering and designing digital products, ideally in B2B SaaS, developer tools, enterprise software, or technical products

  • Strong React skills with full-stack range (bonus if you have a genuine willingness to go deep in Go on the backend)

  • You are AI-forward and love trying new AI tools. You think of yourself not as a coder, but as a builder who harnesses AI to multiply their productivity.

  • Strong communication skills; you can articulate design decisions and push back when something isn't right. Engineers here write their own feature docs and own their decisions

  • Great taste in what makes developer tools intuitive; ideally you've shipped customer-facing developer products before

  • Strong product intuition — you can work directly with customers to design features, not just implement specs

About Our Client

This venture backed AI infrastructure company is developing the connectivity layer that enables AI platforms and B2B software to take meaningful action within the systems businesses rely on. The founding team brings experience from Google, Meta, and AWS. The team is small, retention rates are exceptional, and the technical standards are high. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are excited about meaningful ownership and the chance to help shape the future of collaboration between businesses and AI.

Austin’s tech scene spans many verticals, but it’s particularly known for hardware, including semiconductors, as well as AI, biotechnology and cloud computing. And its food and music scene, low taxes and favorable climate has made the city a destination for tech workers from across the country.

Key Facts About Austin Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 180,500; 13.7% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Dell, IBM, AMD, Apple, Alphabet
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, hardware, cloud computing, software, healthtech
  • Funding Landscape: $4.5 billion in VC funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Live Oak Ventures, Austin Ventures, Hinge Capital, Gigafund, KdT Ventures, Next Coast Ventures, Silverton Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Texas, Southwestern University, Texas State University, Center for Complex Quantum Systems, Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, Texas Advanced Computing Center
