About the company
Our client is an automotive software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build and ship full-stack features for a new North American product line, working from customer conversations to production code and taking responsibility for how well the product performs once it reaches users.
What you'll do
- Build and release full-stack features from first idea to production, with a backend-first approach.
- Spend time with body shops, estimators and parts managers to understand where their daily processes break down, then shape the next thing to build.
- Prototype quickly with AI tools and Python, then rebuild the strongest prototypes in a statically typed language.
- Stay accountable for how well your product area performs in usage and returns, and weigh its benefit against the cost of building it.
- Bring estimators and parts teams from hand-done tasks to automated assistants that act under human oversight, winning their confidence on critical repair jobs.
Requirements

- Full-stack experience across backend and frontend, with a backend lean welcome.
- Hands-on history of quickly creating early versions of software using AI coding assistants.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
Bonus points
- Early engineer or founder experience at a startup, combined with time at a strong engineering organization.
- Experience building products for consumers or non-technical businesses.
