Role Overview

As a founding Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of our full stack web application. You'll have the opportunity to work across both frontend and backend systems, while collaborating closely with leadership to take our product to the next level. Your work will be crucial in scaling our platform, and you'll have the flexibility to influence key technical decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain web applications using our tech stack, including Sveltekit, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

  • Work directly with the CTO to design, develop, and deploy new features.

  • Maintain a culture of quality, excellence, and ownership of your work.

  • Collaborate in setting up project infrastructure, testing, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Help establish the company’s technical and engineering culture, defining best practices and creating processes.

  • Participate in strategic planning and product roadmap discussions with the founding team.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering

  • 3 to 6 years of full-stack web development experience

  • Experience with one or more modern web frameworks such as Svelte, Vue.js, Angular, or React.

  • Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.

  • Willingness to contribute to both technical and non-technical aspects of building the engineering team and company culture.

  • A growth mindset with a desire to learn, adapt, and solve new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Svelte and/or Sveltekit.

  • Proficiency with TypeScript in building scalable applications.

  • Experience with AWS core services (e.g., IAM, EC2, VPC, S3).

  • SQL database experience, especially PostgreSQL.

  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (project setup, testing, hosting, deployment).

Tech Stack
  • Frontend: Svelte 5, SvelteKit 2

  • Backend: Node.js 22, TypeScript 5.9

  • Databases: PostgreSQL 16, Redis 7.4

  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS EC2, ECS/EKS
