Role Overview

The Fund Accountant is responsible for executing core fund accounting workflows accurately and consistently across a defined set of venture funds. This role is ideal for someone who values precision, structure, and ownership — and wants to build deep expertise in how venture capital funds operate at scale.

You’ll work within established processes and under review while gaining hands-on exposure to fund structures, capital activity, and reporting across a broad portfolio of venture funds, contributing to a platform that supports thousands of emerging managers.

What You'll Own

  • Execute day-to-day fund accounting tasks, including transaction booking, allocations, and capital activity
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records across assigned funds
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Support capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting processes
  • Assist with audit and tax preparation through clean, well-organized workpapers
  • Follow documented processes and controls consistently
  • Surface questions or discrepancies promptly to senior team members

What You Bring

  • Core Requirements
  • 2–4+ years of experience in fund accounting, accounting, or fund administration
  • Familiarity with venture capital or private equity fund structures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple funds
  • Clear written communication and reliable follow-through
  • Interest in how accounting workflows can be improved through better systems, data, or automation

  • Prior experience supporting audits or year-end close processes
