Orchard is looking for a Funding & Closing Operations Coordinator to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate funding disbursements and closings processed by Orchard Title. You will be responsible for collaborating with the escrow and title teams to support executing tactical components of escrow transactions according to standardized procedures, including managing funding files, initiating/approving wire transfers, cutting checks, and fielding communications both internally and externally. You will also support various operational initiatives for the Title Team, including assisting with key aspects of Orchard's closing workflow to ensure seamless and timely transactions. The ideal candidate is highly attentive to detail, an excellent multi-tasker, great problem solver, strong communicator, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment to ensure a seamless experience for buyers, sellers, and their agents. This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in title, mortgage, or real estate.

This is an in-office, full-time role that will report into the Centralized Funding Manager, Tamra McFadin, and be based out of our growing Austin, TX office.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Own the funding process end-to-end, including coordinating wire disbursements, checks and invoices, and working with the escrow team to ensure it’s completed in it’s entirety.
  • Drive time-sensitive, detail-oriented tasks from file open through post-closing and funding disbursement
  • Audit closing packages and prepare lender packages 
  • Receive and process a high volume of contracts and closing documents throughout the full life cycle of a transaction
  • Provide excellent customer service while answering incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate teams, and utilizing available resources to problem solve and find solutions
  • Manage multiple inboxes ensuring timely responses and efficient handling of correspondence
  • Support closing operations duties including notarizing closing documents and supporting Orchard's mobile notary platform
  • Assist with Orchard Title marketing support and ad hoc operational needs
  • Be the person who tackles whatever-comes-up to help us deliver an amazing home selling and buying experience for our customers

  • Strong strategic thinking skills and able to follow multiple standardized operating procedures
  • Ability to stay organized and think on your feet in a fast moving environment
  • Comfort with learning new technology systems/databases to access information
  • Great time management and prioritization skills
  • Sense of urgency
  • Prior exposure to or interest in real estate funding, mortgage disbursements, or settlement processes is a plus
