Job Title: Geospatial Analysis Specialist (QGIS)

Job Summary: In this position, you will leverage your expertise to contribute to the training of next-generation AI systems. Your efforts will influence how models learn, reason, and operate by providing high-quality, real-world data. No previous experience in AI is necessary — your domain knowledge is what counts.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, oversee, and maintain spatial databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout all projects.
  2. Perform advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling utilizing QGIS, and translate the results into practical insights.
  3. Create, customize, and support QGIS plugins and extensions to meet specific project requirements.
  4. Automate geospatial analysis workflows with Python (PyQGIS) to enhance efficiency and reproducibility.
  5. Produce high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations for use in reports, presentations, and decision-making.
  6. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to gather requirements and develop geospatial solutions.
  7. Effectively communicate complex technical information both orally and in writing to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. In-depth knowledge of QGIS, including spatial database management, geoprocessing, and map creation.
  2. Strong Python skills with practical experience automating processes within QGIS using PyQGIS.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of spatial projections, coordinate systems, and data transformations.
  4. Demonstrated capability to customize QGIS through plugin development or scripting.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Proven experience producing professional cartographic outputs tailored to diverse decision-making scenarios.
  7. Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail while handling multiple project priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working with remote or distributed teams that support external clients.
  2. Familiarity with other open-source GIS tools or cloud-based geospatial platforms.
  3. Background in spatial analysis within fields such as environmental science, urban planning, or resource management.
